Lisbon, 1980s. Rosa joins a group of young people disillusioned with post-Revolutionary Portugal. Part of a clandestine far-left armed organization, they share political ideals and a daily life that brings them closer together. But their idealism clashes head-on with the changing country and a vast police operation targeting them. Fleeing down a road with no way out, their lives are made up of bank robberies, bombs, friendships, imprisonment, love, and death. Cornered, the only choice left to them is to keep running until they are arrested, or killed.
