If you were a bread, which one would you be?

MESCLA: Episode #15

By chance, without pretension, it was the yellow road that set the scene and carried us through 15 must-hear stops. That’s what it was always about: the people we met along the way and how we mixed together. The rest is just history. So, join the queue. Because let’s be honest — we’ll never stand in a bread queue the same way again. In this episode, we even learn it’s worth thinking about the queue itself, stepping into the shoes of those who wait or even imagining ourselves as the bread. If you were a bread, which one would you be?

In this final stop, we were Dorothys and Cidálias, alongside Deka Saimor, Roberto Terra and Rafa Jacinto, from the Oz ou a Estrada? crew (on stage November 20–22 at Rivoli).

MESCLA reaches its emerald ending, but the beauty of this road is that you can always walk it backwards — and then forwards again. Enjoy it, mesclers. There’s always room for another Kansas. Along the way, take our advice: plenty of herbal baths, St. John’s wort tea, and memes (however you pronounce them).
Collective and periodic, MESCLA is the podcast of Teatro Municipal do Porto, DDD - Festival Dias da Dança e CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva with Rafa Jacinto and the sound design of Mother Jupiter. How, where and why do we mix? How many cosmos fit into one performance, one body, one speech? We plunge into the matter that remains from the liquid experience. We embrace erosion, applaud the cringe and talk as a pretext, without pretension: at home, in the foyer, on the metro, wherever and whenever we want.
